On the borders of the Ile Alatau National Park, the Sunkar Centre is very carefully maintained and offers a range of things to do for groups, families or even individuals inclined to spend a few hours outdoors out of the city. It is owned and run by local people with decades of experience in providing leisure options for a variety of tastes.
The main attraction of the venue is the small zoo with birds or prey of different varieties. The peregrine falcons feature more in theshow, but not exclusively and the eagles, buzzards and vultures also draw the crowdsdaily to the 40-minute event in which bird handling experts not only entertain their visitors with humour and chat, but also introduce them personally to a number of fascinating and beautiful creatures.
