PETROLEUM CLUB

One of the classiest places in Almaty to spend the night, Petroleum puts the emphasis very much on style right to the extent that over 25s come from all over the former Soviet Union to join in the fun.

Since opening in December 1996 the club located at the crossing of Shevchenko Street and Seifullina Street, has become an institution in this already buzzing city, inviting DJs and performers from far and wide who alongside local dancers and singers have given Petroleum its reputation for image and flair, and in turn its tag as an elite institution of the city.

Unique in Kazakhstan, discos in its nine-plasma screen wall interior are hosted by DJs playing the latest and most energetic sounds leaving customers free to simply enjoy the moment. Service is impeccable and the club owners are proud to have retained the same high level of customer care since the very day they opened for business. In the cosy atmosphere that is Petroleum, every guest is a VIP and is never in any doubt of the fact, whether they opt for one of the many dining options, or for night on the dance floor.

Up to 300 people at any one time have wide choice of drinks and cocktails as well as a tempting range of sushi and European dishes, all in a safe and comfortable environment very much conducive to relaxed and spontaneous communication. Club rules have been established to enhance this factor, and guests arriving in an intoxicated condition or improperly dressed (sportswear) should be prepared to be turned away. So too should males under 25 and females under 18, such is Petroleum's desire to remain an exclusive and respectable club enjoyed by responsible yet fun-loving adults.

Ticket-only admission begins at 2200 every night of the week with early entry recommended, especially on Fridays and Saturdays when local dance, vocal and instrumental bands perform, or on any national holiday when themed parties are common. These complement other various concerts to provide a full calendar of entertainment running until 0600 every morning.
