Discover a remarkable concentration of petroglyphs (rock carvings) dating from the XIV–XIII BC. to the 18th century AD. Distributed among multiple complexes with associated settlements and burial grounds, these carvings are testimonies to the husbandry, social organization, and rituals of pastoral peoples. Explore the central canyon, which contains the densest concentration of engravings and what are believed to be altars, suggesting that these places were used for sacrificial offerings.Includes
