Description
Begin your journey early in the morning, leaving the city behind as you head toward the mountains. The road gradually climbs higher, winding through forests and along rivers, offering beautiful views along the way to Bear Waterfall, a quiet spot hidden in the Tien Shan foothills.
Set off on a light hike through a peaceful forested gorge. The trail is not difficult, making it suitable for almost any level of fitness. The sound of birds and rushing water grows louder as you approach the waterfall — a tall, narrow stream cascading down from the rocks into a cool, misty basin. Have time to rest, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful natural setting.
After the hike, continue driving toward the wide-open spaces of the Assy Plateau. As you gain altitude, the scenery changes dramatically — the road leads you above the tree line into vast alpine meadows, perched on the plateau at over 2,700 meters above sea level.
Here, have a few hours of free time to explore: walk through the sweeping hills, watch wild horses grazing in the distance, take in the fresh mountain air, or simply relax with a picnic while having a hot tea surrounded by panoramic views. The plateau feels like another world — open, quiet, and far from civilization.
