Start your private trip with pickup from your hotel in Almaty and travel towards Big Almaty Lake, located in the Tien Shan mountains about 25 km from the city center. The drive takes approximately 40–60 minutes and follows a mountain road with views of forested slopes and the surrounding valleys. Continue along the mountain road to an elevation of approximately 2,510 meters. On the way, your guide will share information about Almaty, the surrounding mountains, and the sights along the route. Upon arrival at Big Almaty Lake, take time to enjoy the mountain scenery and views of the surrounding Tien Shan peaks, some of which rise above 4,000 meters. The lake is located in a mountain valley surrounded by steep slopes and coniferous forests, making it a popular destination for visitors to Almaty. After visiting the lake, continue to the Maiden’s Tears waterfall, located in the surrounding mountain area.
