Tour Description

Meeting and Departure: Meet at 7:30 AM at the circus parking lot, 50 Abay Street. Departure is promptly at 8:00 AM. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated.

Transport: Travel in a Hyundai Starex with air conditioning, accommodating up to 18 people. The drive to the first stop takes about two hours.

Bear Waterfall (Turgen Gorge): Hike 1 km uphill on a mountain trail to the waterfall. Enjoy free time to relax, explore, and take photos before hiking back.

Issyk Lake: Continue by vehicle to Issyk Lake. Spend free time walking along the shore and observing the turquoise lake surrounded by mountains. Your guide will explain:

  • The history and formation of Issyk Lake
  • The 1963 mudflow that destroyed the original lake
  • The ancient Saka culture and nearby discovery of the “Golden Man” artifact
  • Natural features of the Ile-Alatau region

Trout Farm: Drive to a local trout farm where you have free time for optional fishing with rod rental (~500 KZT) and fresh fish purchase (~5000–6000 KZT per kg). Lunch is available at approximately 5000 KZT.

Return to Almaty: The return trip takes about two hours, arriving around 4:00–5:00 PM at the meeting point.
