Amaty Lake Tour near Almaty for Hikers and Drivers
This tour offers two options: drive directly to Amaty Lake or hike 6km to reach it. It suits outdoor enthusiasts and those seeking flexible ways to explore.
Description
Amaty Lake is located at 2500 meters above sea level near Almaty. Visitors will learn about the lake's history and surrounding mountains, followed by a visit to Almarasan hot spring gorge.
You can select to drive to the lake without hiking or take a 6km hiking route. If hiking, bring comfortable shoes suitable for all terrain. Hiking sticks and rain jackets are available upon request.
During summer, sunrise occurs around 4am. The tour typically starts between 6:30am and 7am to avoid city traffic and afternoon heat.
Typical Schedule (may vary on request)
- By car to the lake:
Start: 6:30-7:00am
Arrival at lake: 7:40-8:40am
Almarasan hot spring visit: 9:30-10:30am
Return to city: 11:30am - Hiking option:
Start: 6:30-7:00am
Hike to lake: 7:30-9:30am
Time at lake: 9:30-11:00am
Hike down: 11:00am-12:30pm
Return to city: 1:00-2:00pm
