Our journey will begin from the city. From the city center we will head to the Ile-Alatau National Park. Already at the very beginning of our hiking you will understand why Almaty is among the TOP 10 best cities in the world for mountain tourism. Our walking part will be 4 km uphill towards the high-mountain pasture Kok Zhailau. This path is the most favorite route for all residents of Almaty. This hiking is also accessible to beginners, but you still need to have sufficient sports training. Our path will run through beautiful birch, pine, poplar and spruce groves. On one side there will be a panorama of the city, and on the other side an amazing view of the snowy and stone peaks of the Tien Shan Mountains. The first part of the hike is a bit difficult, with a steeper climb. The remaining 2/3 of the route is quite easy, with a gradual increase in altitude. Having reached our destination in 3-4 hours, you will be amazed by the beauty of the Ile-Alatau National Park. Here we will stop and have a good rest.
