It is difficult not to be fascinated by the origin of this hotel’s name. It’s Arabic translation, perfect, notwithstanding, the literal reason for its choice was simply a tribute to the owner’s grandmother, Mukatay, whose own warm hospitality inspired in turn the way in which this delightful hotel is run and managed. Her portrait hangs in the lobby today, something you can see after a short ride in from the airport and an even shorter journey from the railway station. Mukammal is well-located and value for money, making any business trip to the Congress Hall or government buildings not only cost efficient but also convenient. The mission statement of the hotel is not simply to make money, but to honour the memory of the special woman who in truth made it all happen.
